‘Creative Days’ Workshop
We were approached by Blackburn Cathedral and Queen Elizabeth Grammar School to take part in one of their ‘Creative Days’ for their year 8 and 9 students.
James Sanderson, our Cathedral Architect at Blackburn Cathedral led a series of workshops for small groups of students on the history of architecture, Gothic architecture and the role of an architect, as well as divulging some of the secrets of Blackburn Cathedral itself.
As well as James’ workshop, the Cathedral ran workshops on choral singing, music and bell ringing, all of which were intended to engage the students and spark potential interest in the arts and how music and architecture relate to one another.
