Working with Walsall Museum Services, our task was to appraise and masterplan the Heritage Offer across the City. The Heritage Offer was split across three separate buildings and the masterplan sought to assess the significance and opportunities of the three separate buildings, maximising the Council’s assets with a new combined Heritage Museum in the former Leather Factory.

The proposals consisted of a new dynamic and contemporary archive store to the south of the historic building, a triple height glazed atrium space and a comprehensive re-design of the Leather Factory to create a new museum experience.

We worked with Redman Design (Interpretation Designers) to create a new cultural offer for the City and the work formed part of a Round 1 Heritage Lottery bid.
