Sanderson Borland was appointed to take on the design changes for a new contemporary house extension in South Queensferry, Edinburgh

The brief was to open up the rear of the existing house and maximise light into the kitchen/ living space created. Utilising large glazed openings opening directly into the garden, helped create a seamless harmony between inside and out. Additional roof lights at the rear of the kitchen help light penetrate deeper into the extension.

The design incorporates bespoke detailing to ensure the design meets the client’s every need, such as a feature fireplace/ media wall, hidden blinds and seamless stepless transition between indoor and garden.

Sanderson Borland produced concept designs through sketch 3D visuals to showcase what was possible in the space to ensure a truly unique, bespoke fit-out.

We have submitted for a planning non-material variation and Building Warrant intending to be on-site in the new year.
